Caito Fisheries Inc.
John Baptist Caito immigrated to the United States from Sicily in 1885 to Pittsburg, CA where he and his family started the Western Fish Company. After the 1906 earthquake destroyed the production facility, Caito formed the California Western Fish Company. By the early 1920s the company had expanded to three locations, including Noyo Harbor in Fort Bragg. In 1975, the Caito Brothers (Joe, Jim & John) took over operation and are the fourth generation of the Caito family in the business. North Coast Brewing Company
Opened in 1988 as a local brewpub, it’s now won more than 70 awards in national and international competition; the brewery has resurrected the old Acme label with a heritage dating back to the San Francisco of the 1860s.
